sound system design

what is sound if nobody can hear it?

let's design a custom sound system (recording and playback) for your budget, needs, and constraints. after that, I will come in and install said system or sound solution. I'll help solve your sonic problems, tailor solutions, and get your space sounding fresh.

It's difficult to see in the pictures below, as this system has been designed to blend in, as well as be adaptable as possible in this space used for theatrical productions with shifting stage/audience setups, weddings, rock shows, slam poetry events... you name it. We were also working with a low budget, using as much gear as was already in the space. Over the course of a few montghs, I worked with the owner to figure out exactly what we had, what we needed, and got to work.

Custom soldered cables, power solutions, processing, and savvy discount and second-hand market research delivered Main Street studios with an immersive and powerful sound system , complete with a 16-channel recording setup, four moveable 18" subwoofers on custom wheeled frames, while also leveraging the four main PA speakers, Yamaha analog mixer, and 8 channels of Sennheiser wireless lav mics that were already present in the space.

From brainstorm to measuring, cutting, painting, and the final signal test, we got you covered.

EnergieGal Meditations: healing sounds

My friend Lisa is a vibrational sound therapist, and she needed a way to capture the rich and enveloping soundscapes she creates for an online audience. We approached Lisa's project with the intention of making it as immersive, yet simple as possible, so she could use it with minimal technical knowledge and troubleshooting.

I researched the gear she would need, in this case, a stereo recording setup, interfaced so she could record into her laptop. It was also set up in a way that allows her to adjust the height and spacing of the mics to play with the different spacial effects.

Hear it for yourself, I find her soundscapes to be mesmerizing!
